Sunny Summers

Today was a beautiful sunny day, and I was outside in my yard eating the bean salad I had made for lunch (recipe below) It was sooo delicious, and I found myself a little mesmerized by it. Which is silly because, I mean, it's bean salad! But the colours just grabbed my attention. That's when I noticed, I matched my bean salad! My yellow shirt, maroon lipstick and green nail polish were the same shade as the corn, black beans, and parsely! I guess I've subconsciously been thinking about these colours all day.
I especially love yellow, it's one of my favourite colours, but people just don't seem to share my love of the colour (or at least in their wardrobe) It's such a fun, cheery colour. And I think whenever people wear it they look simply charming. It's flattering on everyone, and gives your mood such an uplift.
Maybe you're not as daring as this fella to wear the colour as the focal point of your outfit, but maybe wearing it as an accessory like these stunning pair of stilettos show below.
Such a nice shade of yellow too. Like a lemon, or a yellow rose, or maybe lima beans??
This mustard colour yellow has become a hit on runways for quite sometime now. Seen at shows like Acne, Hermes, and Edun
The gentleman just exudes charm for me in his yellow short sleeve jacket. The entire ensemble is perfect, from his cuffed jeans to his velvet bow tie. Even though his expression doesn't make him out to be very cheerful and friendly, his hair makes me very very happy. He's the kind of person that you see in the streets and you just want to be able to say you know them.

Bean Salad Recipe.
1 can black beans
1can chick peas
1 cup fresh or frozen corn
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 pinches of salt
1 1/2 tsp of cumin
1 tsp chili powder
5-8 drops of hot sauce (depending on your spicy preference)
LOTS of fresh minced parsley

Mix everything together and you have a delicious bean salad! ENJOY :D
